Tika: Dad, why can't I go to the village meeting?

father: Only when your older, Kit. Now, go outside  and say goodnight to Sapphire.

Tika: Ok

 

  Moments later...

 

Tika: Sapphire, sometimes I wonder what's this village meetings' about. Dad says it's important that he goes.

Sapphire: *Grunt*

Tika: What's that light over in the forest?

Sapphire: *Grrrr*

Tika: What's the matter, Sapphire? It's probably just some villagers camping out, a lot of  villagers!

 

 As Tika looks into the forest at the strange lights a battle was actually taking place there was her father in the lead command, but the enemy was winning with Sniber's dragon Eros.

 

mother: Tika! Sapphire! Come here!

Tika: What is it mother?

mother: There's no time to explain! Sapphire take Tika to the cliff refuge and take good care of her. I'll stay here and try to bring the other villagers.

Tika: Mother, what are you talking about?

mother: Now, Kit, promise me you'll be a good girl for Sapphire.

Tika:*crying* O.K. mother.

mother: Good girl. Now go! *She says as she slaps Sapphire's hindquaters*

 

 Saphire runs with Tika silently crying on his back into the forest to the cliff. At the cliff, Sapphire starts gliding to the shelter but is soon followed by Eros.

 

Eros: Hrroarrrr!

 

 Eros schreeches as he rains fireballs into the air towards Sapphire. One by one Sapphire dodges them just barely as they swoop past. Desperately trying to lose the 23foot long dragon,

Sapphire charges towards Eros as Tika desperately holds on tight. As they charge towards eachother, Sapphire quickly swoops under Eros. Eros looking under himself incase of a sneak attack is hit in the back by Sapphire's claws and slams into the cliff ahead. Eros limps back to the battlefield to do other damage not concerning the sabertooth.

 

 Sapphire and Tika made it to the refuge to only fimd it also burnt as the rest of the village. They find shelter in a cave  in the cliff's shadows listening to the screaming and cries of dying villagers knowing that they can't do anything to help them. Tika was crying herself to sleep, as Sapphire had watched the scorching village die down to ashes.

 

Tika: No survivors, no home, no family... I don't want this to happen.

 

 Tika says as she rumbles through the ashes of what was once hetr home, and finds the only thing that didn't burn down was a  staff with a stone on it. It was the staff her father made for her when she would be a great seer like he was. She grasps it tightly.

 

Tika: I won't let this happen to anyone else.

 

 For the next six years, Tika and Sapphire had traveled to the north and settled in a town called Calliton were they had trained intensely to protect other villages who would be attacked and the ones who have already fallen victum to the dark army.

 

 Tika and Sapphire have changed much through those years. Tika no dresses herself in traveling robes, seer boots, her father's staff and leather gloves. Tika is now sixteen and has learnt new abilities such as summoning, healing and spells. Since the incident on her town Tika has on been scared of very large dragons.Tika and sapphire have earned the people's respect in the village including the chief, Chares.

 

Chares: Kit we have a problem in the southern region. It's the wastelands. The barrier is slowly dying out.

Tika: Isn't the barrier a legend?

Chares: Nah not a legend, we need someone to go there and protect it.

Tika: What for?

Chares: The dark army are tring to break free.

Tika: Don't they have Eros?

Chares: Yes.

*Tika shudders*

Chares: Yes I know you hate dragons but your the only one who would do it, no?

Tika: Fine, I'll go get Sapphire the kids have been playing on him again.

Chares: *waving* May the gods bring you back unharmed.
